To clean ketchup out of your carpet, you’ll first want to dab the area with a cloth and cool water. Then, make a cleaning solution of liquid dish soap and warm water. Use a clean, white cloth to apply this solution to the stain. Repeat these steps until the stain is gone. You can follow these same steps to remove ketchup stains from your upholstery.
To get mustard out of your carpet, scrap or blot the excess liquid up as soon as it falls, but be sure not to spread it or press it further into the carpet. Then, take a clean, white cloth, and try to blot up as much of the stain as possible. You can then use the same cleaning solution as the one listed above for ketchup.
