Repeat this step until the lipstick stain is mostly gone. Next, make a cleaning solution with warm water, dish soap, and fabric cleaner. Use a cloth to blot the remainder of the stain with this solution until the lipstick is all gone.
If you get mascara on your carpet, you can clean it up with a solution of 1 cup of warm water and ¼ teaspoon of dish soap. Use a dishcloth dipped in this solution to blot up the mascara. If some of the stain remains, you can then use a solution of ½ cup of water and a tablespoon of ammonia. Another solution that could work is 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 cup of warm water.
